Film In Focus: FOREVER 365ic
Saturday, November 25----The Dutch documentary FOREVER by Heddy Honigmann has been recognised with a Crystal Film Award for achieving over 10,000 tickets sold since its release. The award will be presented at IDFA on Monday, November 27 in the Filmmuseum, prior to the screening of the film. FOREVER is a film about the power and vitality of art and about a place where beauty lives on: the Père-Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. The film already won a Golden Calf for Best Documentary at The Netherlands Film Festival and was in competition at the most recent San Sebastian Film Festival.
The Crystal Film Award is an initiative by the Dutch Film Fund and the Netherlands Film Festival. It is awarded exclusively to Dutch documentaries for which more than 10,000 tickets have been sold after their release. The prize is intended to encourage the Dutch film industry and motivate the general public to go and see Dutch films.

Forever is one of the most profound and enlivening films I have ever watched. Many thanks to Heddy Honigmann for making this film. After watching this film, I finally know what life is all about: LOVE.
