Thursday, September 29 - mark it in your calendar! Hollywood legend Sir Ben Kingsley will receive the prestigious Golden Icon Award in Person when presenting the European premiere of his latest film DALÍLAND. The Zurich Film Festival honours the celebrated actor for his outstanding career.

"I’m a storyteller, nothing more and nothing less. So I’m touched that Zurich should see fit to honour me for this, my simple, ancient craft" - Sir Ben Kingsley.

The Golden Icon Award honours personalities who have impacted cinema through their achievements in acting and have emerged as an icon for an entire generation. With countless memorable roles, as in GANDHI or SCHINDLER'S LIST, Sir Ben Kingsley has edged his name in film history.

In his newst film, Mary Harron's DALÍLAND, Sir Ben Kingsley again embodies an important historical figure - the eccentric Spanish painter Salvador Dalí, who is busy preparing an important show in New York in 1973, while his tempestuous marriage to wife Gala (Barbara Sukowa) is on the verge of collapse.

On the same day he will accept the award, he will also hold a ZFF Masters and talk about his career. September 29 - be there!
